Carcass, not caucus.
Next, look for facts, not emotional responses.
If the dogs were at large and attacking his sheep, Klatt is entirely in his rights in Texas to stop the predation.  Shoot them, run them down or get a pasture full of Kommondors, all means are legal and reasonable.
If Klatt really shot the old dog he should have shot him again and killed him cleanly.  That I hold against him.
But where, exactly, was the dog when he was shot?
Where was the other dog when he was run over?
If the Peace family so loved their dogs why did they allow them to run loose?
Granted, hanging dead dogs - or coyotes - on fences is tasteless and gross, almost as tasteless and gross as the PETA billboards with graphics of dogs depicted with huge fish hooks hanging out of their mouths.
Where, honestly, does the concept of torture come into play, other than as a exaggeration of what is alleged to have happened?
