It is possible to estimate the calories burned in cycling on a bike from work by using the MET data (Metabolic Equivalent of Task).
But weight is required in order to calculate calories burned.
I use Met Calculations for the following activity: bicycling, to/from work, self selected pace (MET= 6.8).
Calories are per 1 hour of activity(same for male or female).
(man/woman) weighing 50 kg = 340 calories.
(man/woman) weighing 55 kg = 408 calories.
(man/woman) weighing 60 kg = 408 calories.
(man/woman) weighing 65 kg = 442 calories.
(man/woman) weighing 70 kg = 476 calories.
(man/woman) weighing 75 kg = 510 calories.
(man/woman) weighing 80 kg = 544 calories.
(man/woman) weighing 85 kg = 578 calories.
(man/woman) weighing 90 kg = 612 calories.
(man/woman) weighing 95 kg = 646 calories.
(man/woman) weighing 100 kg = 680 calories.
