Billie Bottlinger
Billie Ruth Green Bottlinger, 83, of Meridian, died on March 24, 2008 in the Meridian Manor. Graveside services were held March 27 in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton with Rev. Richard Creech and Rev. Russell Nebhut officiating.
She was born Dec. 28, 1924 in Mansfield, the daughter of Olen Clinton Green and Lena Ethel Tims Green. She was raised and educated in Mansfield.
She was married to Melvin Bottlinger on July 7, 1971. The couple owned and operated Meridian Livestock Commission Company from 1968 to 1985. Mrs. Bottlinger was a member of the Meridian First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband on August 2, 1986.
Survivors include her son, Rusty Bottlinger of Meridian; grandsons, Austin, Landon and Rylan Bottlinger, all of China Spring;mother-in-law, Lillie Bottlinger of Hamilton; bother-in-law and sister-in-law, Milton and Jean Bottlinger of Hamilton; nieces, Melissa and Michelle of Hamilton; sister-in-law, Janet MacKay and husband Art of Arlington and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Richard Norton, Randy Norton, Ken Woolsey and Randy Benfer.

Joe Sid Kemp
Joe Sid Kemp, 74, of Zephyr, died March 27, 2008 at Brownwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Home. Funeral services were held on March 30 at Heartland Funeral Home with Reverend Eddie Smart officiating. Burial was at Zephyr Cemetery
He was born October 24, 1933, in Energy, the son of Harmon and Sadie Kemp. He was married to Jimmie Perkins of Zephyr in 1957, and lived many years in Fort Worth working with Mobil Oil Company and Lockheed. He and his wife retired to Zephyr in 1994.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents and his brother, Howard Baskin Kemp of Fort Worth.
Survivors include his two daughters, Theresa Stevens, of Houston, and Sharron Mapel and her husband Frank, of Houston, and granddaughters, Amanda and Carrie Mapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Joe’s memory be made to the Zephyr Methodist Church.

Ida Ruth Bodie
Ida Ruth Bodie, 89, a resident of Indian Gap, died March 30, 2008 in Hamilton. Funeral services were held March 31 at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home. Burial followed at the Bethel Cemetery in Mills County.
She was born January 19, 1919 in Kershaw County, SC the daughter of Fletcher McCoy Jordan and Sallie Gaskin Jordan.
She was married to William E. Bodie on September 24, 1939 in Columbia South Carolina.
She is preceded in death by her parents and numerous brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband, William E. Bodie of Indian Gap; a son, William F. (Billy) Bodie and his wife Martha of Lugoff, SC, a daughter, Ginny Ruth Coker and her husband John Lee of Indian Gap; grandchildren, Dennis Coker and his wife Carla and their son Adam, Todd Coker and his children Jennifer Lynn and Levi, Carlos Coker and his wife Melinda and their daughter Suzanna, Leslie Coker and his wife Davina and their children Landon and Lillian, Jay Coker and his wife Sarah and their children, Sydney and Garrett, William Keith Bodie and his wife Michelle and their children Cody and Amanda, Carey Rabon and her husband Alvin and their son Jordan, Kimberly Ruth Parker and husband Lee and their children Tyler and Holly. One brother, Earle Jordan of Lugoff, SC, two sisters, Ethel Vereen of Lexington, SC and Lois Boulware of Lexington, SC.

Alfred William Weeks, 78, of Hamilton died on March 21, 2008 in the Hamilton General Hospital in Hamilton. A graveside service celebrating his life was held on March 23 at Live Oak Cemetery in Hamilton County.
Mr. Weeks was born on July 18, 1929 in Big Valley, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie and Leona “Duey” Weeks. He was married to Shirley Hill on November 4, 1955.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Kathy.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years Shirley Weeks; his daughter, Peggy Brumbalow and her husband Jesse of Hamilton; grandchildren, Amanda Fields and her husband Robert of Hamilton, Eric Weeks of Weatherford, and Danny Weeks of Hamilton; great- grandchildren, D.J. Fields, Haylee Weeks, Rodger Weeks, Kyra Weeks, Jacob Weeks and Madison Fields; brothers; James Weeks and his wife Sue of Evant, Bill Weeks and his wife Beth of Cedar Hill, Richard Weeks and his wife Sandy of Abilene and Gail Weeks and his wife Betty of Lampasas as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Lemine Louise Massingill Stephens
Lemine Louise Massingill Stephens, 83, died on March 28, 2008. Funeral services were held March 30 with Dr. Willie Clark and Dr. James Ballard officiating. Burial was at Toliver Cemetery.
She was born in Comanche County on Nov. 29, 1924, the daughter of Johnie Marie Tally Massingill and William Lemma “Lemmie” Massingill. She was married to J. Wayland Stephens in Comanche on Dec. 21, 1940.
Mrs. Stephens lived almost her entire life in Comanche and Hamilton Counties within a 20 mile radius; however, there was a period of time during World War II when she lived in Kilgore while her husband was stationed at Camp Fannin.
She worked as a telephone operator, as a clerk at Garner-Alvis Department Store, a seamstress, a cook and as a sitter for those with Alzheimer’s.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two grandsons, Joni Lynn Stephens and Shannon Chad Stephens.
Survivors include her four children, Gayland Jay Stephens and wife Ella Faye of Hamilton, Rickie Don Stephens and wife Gloria of Comanche, Brenda Gail Stephens Andrews and husband Kenneth of Hamilton and Karen Kay Stephens Price and husband Rick Price of Gatesville; grandchildren, Jana Dawn O’Neal and husband Randy of Weatherford, Dana Lynn Chancellor and husband Tommy of College Station, Dr. Tonya Leigh Stephens and fiancée Dave Cyplik of Ocala, Fla., Brett Aaron Stephens and fiancée Elizabeth Sanderson of Early, Dr. Rena Michelle Dunahoo and husband Nick of Lake Belton, Britney Kail Aaron and husband J.P. of Cranfills Gap, Brennan Chad Andrews of Texas A&M, Whitney Nichole Posey, Lexi Price and Nick Price all of Gatesville, Tyler Price of Corpus Christi, Coltyn Price of Graham and Tierra Campbell of Waco; seven great-grandchildren, Riley Chaney O’Neal, Jaret Devin O’Neal, Layton Joseph Chancellor, Aaron Neal Chancellor, Addison Layne Dunahoo, John Simon Waller and Cooper Waller.
The family requests memorials be given to either the First United Methodist Church Choir (Hamilton) or the Hamilton General Hospital.
