Mildred Parrish, 80, of Evant died Dec. 3, 2007 in the Hamilton Healthcare Center. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. in the Evant First Baptist church with David Bonnet officiating. Burial followed in the Murphree Cemetery.
Mrs. Parrish was born March 11, 1927 in Coryell County, the daughter of Milton and Gertrude Marshall Brown. She was married to Jake Ben Parrish in 1949 in Fort Worth.
She was a beautician for many years.
Survivors include four children, June Parrish of Gatesville, Tom Parrish of Evant, Martha Zim of Gun Barrell City, Rebecca Bertram of Evant; 10 grandchildre; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Polly Guess of Waco; three brothers, Morris Brown of Evant, Billy Mack Brown of Hamilton and Kenneth Brown of Gatesville.

Mildred Arlee Trammell Edmiston died Dec. 1, 2007.
She was born on May 18, 1914 in Pidcoke.
She was married to Carter Edmiston in October, 1936. He preceded her in death January 13, 2006
Throughout her life she lived in Pottsville, Carrollton, Mesquite, Hamilton, and Lewisville.
Survivors include two sisters, Faye Griggs of Evant and Marie Pointer of Hamilton; two daughters, Linda Rankin of Allen and Treva Ann Minor of Rockport; five grandchildren, Melissa Migis of Coppell, Melonie Rankin of Mesquite, Mark Edmiston of Farmers Branch, Joseph Minor of Hamilton, Ontario and Diane Calvin of Bangalor, India; six great-grandchildren, Maddie, Michael, James, Susan, Maaike and Henry.
