Quata Ann Wilkerson
Quata Ann Wilkerson, 61, of Iredell, died Sept. 27 2007 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services were held Sept. 30 at the First United Methodist Church of Hico with Rev. Sharon Robertson officiating. Burial was at Mitchell Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 24, 1945 in Meridian and was married to Paul Ray Wilkerson on Oct. 17, 1964 in Iredell.
Mrs. Wilkerson was a bookkeeper. She lived all of her life in Iredell and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hico.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 13, 2007 and her father, J.D. Craig on Nov. 28, 1988.
Survivors include her mother, Virginia Craig of Hico; a daughter, Vicki and husband Joe Novak of Mineral Wells; sons, Curtis and wife Christine Wilkerson of Meridian, Brad and wife Kistra Wilkerson of Iredell; brothers, Bob Craig of Hico and Jerry and wife Sue Craig of Lewisville as well as 10 grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to a local charity.

Frances Ray
Frances Ray, 95, died Sept. 29, 2007 at Pineridge Health Care in Livingston. Funeral services were set for Oct. 3 at Soda Baptist Church with burial in San Jacinto Cemetery in Pasadena with Rev. Frank Hood, Rev. Doyle Butcher and Rev. Ray Matthews officiating.
Mrs. Ray was born July 3, 1912 in San Saba, the daughter of John and Willie (Sanderson) Moore.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Willie Mae Moore; her husband, Joe Ray, her son, Billy Joe Ray; daughters, Martha Havens, and Barbara Ann Ray; grandson, Jody Havens and brother John Moore.
Survivors include her son, Johnny Ray of Conroe; daughters, Linda Matthews of Livingston and Anease Green of Pasadena; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Melvin Sheffield, Joseph Sheffield, Asa Sheffield, Tim Neely, Christopher Matthews, Chris Ray, Brandon McDaniel, Steve McDaniel, Billy Ray, Derrick McDaniel, Steven Ray, Carl Thomson and Scott Ray.

Viola Estelle Tatum
Viola Estelle Tatum, 87, of Hamilton died Sept. 27, 2007 in the Comanche County Medical Center. Funeral services were held Sept. 29 in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Hamilton. Burial followed in the Gentry’s Mill Cemetery.
Mrs. Tatum was born Oct. 13, 1919 in Hamilton County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Houghton Douglas.
She was married to James Erwin “Pus” Tatum on Nov. 29, 1951 in Hamilton.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gustine and a homemaker. She attended the Gustine Senior Citizens Group where she enjoyed playing “42” with her friends.
Survivors include a son, Doug Tatum; a daughter, Louise Kunkel; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
