- Ida Sophie Krueger

Ida Sophie Krueger, 96, of Goldthwaite died May 11, 2007 at Goldthwaite Senior Care Center. Funeral services were held at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home on May 14 with Pastor Don Kingman officiating. Burial followed at St. John Cemetery in Priddy.
She was born Feb. 24, 1911 in Priddy, the daughter of Henry Witte and Louise Bufe Witte.
She was married to Carl Krueger on Dec. 30, 1934 in Mills County. He preceded her in death in 1987.
Mrs. Krueger moved to Goldthwaite from Indian Gap in 1987.
She was a Lutheran and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Kenneth Wayne and a daughter, Rebecca Louis; a grandson, Stephen Wayne, a brother, a sister and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Joan and husband Dale Montgomery of Goldthwaite, 12 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Nelda Krueger of Elgin and a son-in-law, Jessie Partin.

Dusty Glen Walther

Dusty Glen Walther, 26, of Whitney, died May 13, 2007 in Whitney. Funeral services were set for Wednesday, May 16, at 10 a.m. at Marshall & Marshall Chapel in Whitney with Chaplain Charles Howard officiating.
He was born February 11, 1981, in Hamilton, the son of Robert and Evelyn Goerdel Walther, where he was raised.
He graduated from Iredell High School in 1999 and attended Tarleton State University for three years. Mr. Walther was sales manager and a valued staff member at WB Ranch. He was the loving son of the WB Ranch Manager, Evelyn Jacobs.
He loved all the many customers at the WB, and he was very dedicated to his job. He will be remembered for his great laugh, sense of humor and contagious smile.
Mr. Walther was a shooting instructor for NSCA and loved golf, baseball, football and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hamilton.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Joe Carroll; grandmother, Lois Collins; grandfather, Wayne Collins, grandmother, Ruth Walther and great-grandfather Edmund Goerdel.
Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Jacobs of Whitney; his father, Robert Walther of Houston; a stepbrother, Chad Carroll of New Jersey; an uncle, Eldon Gregory and wife, Jean of Stephenville; aunts, Kathy Collins of Fort Worth, Kristi Townley and husband, Nathan of Whitney; his uncle, Kelly Collins and wife, Diane of Whitney; an aunt, Cindy Walther of Hamilton; his grandfather, Vernon Walther of Hamilton; his great grandmother, Inez Goerdel of Hamilton; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Floyd John Leach

Floyd John Leach, 87, died May 8, 2007 in the VA Hospital in Temple. Funeral services were held May 11in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Don Middleton and Dick Stovall officiating. Burial followed in the Pecan Wells Cemetery under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Hamilton.
Mr. Leach was born February 4, 1920 in Hamilton the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Leach. He was married to Doris in Fort Worth on August 6, 1949. He was a farmer and rancher for many years. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII and was a member of the Park Heights Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Doris L. Leach of Hamilton; nine children, Eugene Leach, Glenn Leach, Jerald Leach, James Leach, Bert Leach, Douglas Leach, Shirley Brown, David Leach and Marvin Leach; a sister, Ina Lunsford; 22 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
