Mrs. Reich
Nora Alene Ryser Reich, 72, died Dec. 8, 2006 at her home in Canyon Lake. Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 18 at 10 a.m. in the Cross Lutheran Church in New Braunfels. Graveside services will be held at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Uvalde.
She was born on May 28, 1934 near Honey Grove the daughter of Herman C. Ryser and Lydia Stoehner.
She was baptized on June 24, 1934 in the St. James Lutheran Church and confirmed on April 10, 1949 by Rev. John H. Geisler in Grace Lutheran Church in Paris.
She was married to Raymond D. Reich on August 10, 1957 in the St. James Lutheran Church in Honey Grove by the Rev. Marcus T. Lange.
She was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Diane Lynn and Karen Ruth; her parents; one sister, Katie Marie Ryser and one brother, Raymond Ryser.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Raymond D. Reich of Canyon Lake, who was the retired pastor of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Uvalde; her children and their spouses, Janet and Merle Moerbe of La Pryor, Philip and Lisa Reich of Bishop, Nancy and Curtis Muecke of Fredericksburg and Jonathan Reich of Houston; eight grandchildren, Monica and Jeremy Atkinson, Justin Moerbe, Becky Rainey, Andrew, Brandee and Raymond Reich and Matthew and Katie Muecke.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be given to the Cross Lutheran Church, 2171 E. Common St. New Braunfels, TX 78130, Trinity Lutheran Church, 762 N. Getty, Uvalde, Texas or Hope Hospice, 611 N. Walnut St. New Braunfels, TX 78130.

Mr. Beyer
James Lee Beyer, 68, of Indian Gap, died Dec. 14, 2006 in the Providence Hospital in Waco. Funeral Services were held Dec. 17 in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Menchaca officiating. Burial followed in the Indian Gap Cemetery.
Mr. Beyer was born April 10, 1938 in Abilene, the son of Leibert Alois and Emily Ruth Standard Beyer.
He attended St. Josephs Academy and graduated in 1956. He moved to Dallas and worked for the Dallas Fire Department for 30 years until his retirement in June of 1988.
Mr. Beyer moved to Hamilton County near the Indian Gap Community where he lived until his death.
Mr. Beyer enjoyed hunting and fishing and sharing this hobby with his sons and later his grandchildren. Later in life he spent a great amount of time fishing with his dear friend Sue Bynum.
As a firefighter, he was well known and admired by many for his firefighting tactics.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James Craig Beyer; two brothers, John David Beyer and Byron Douglas Beyer and one sister, Frances Elaine Beyer.
Survivors include two sons. Michael Wayne and Kenneth Glenn and wife, Magali, and three grandchildren, Dane, British, and Stone Beyer; a brother, Daryl Beyer and wife Sandy of Hewitt; a sister, Gay Nell Kayali and husband Kal, of Roswell Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Linda Beyer of Clyde and Betty Beyer of Brownwood and several nieces and nephews.
