- Mrs. Graves

Dixie B. Graves, 102, of Hamilton, died Nov. 14, 2006 in the Hamilton Healthcare Center. Funeral Services were held Nov. 18, in the Riley Fu-neral Home Chapel with Rev. John Beckling Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Energy Cemetery.
Mrs. Graves was born March 4, 1904 in Lampasas, the daughter of J.H. and Marga-ret Baskin.
She was married to Auther B. Graves Sr. in Port Arthur on March 25, 1948.
She was a member of the Lamkin United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include five neph-ews, Joe Kemp of Zephyr, John W. Baskin and Don C. Baskin, both of Livingston, James Baskin and Gene Baskin, both of Port Neches.

Ms. Hobratsch

Janet Ann Hobratsch, 50, died at Zale Lipshy University Hospital on Oct. 10, 2006. A memorial service was held Oct. 18 at Zion Lutheran Church in Dallas.
She was a lifelong resident of Dallas, having attended Grace Lutheran School and Sunset High School where she graduated as salutatorian.
In 1978 she graduated from Southern Methodist University summa cum laude in account-ing and mathematics, after which she joined Price Water-house.
She subsequently moved to the Visiting Nurses Association in 1985 where she served as senior accountant in the finance department. She was known for her encyclopedic knowledge of accounting and her meticulous style, earning her recognition as employee of the year.
Ms. Hobratsch delighted in her nieces and nephews and was a loyal fan of the Rangers, Mavericks and Stars. She con-tributed to Toys for Tots every Christmas and enjoyed baking her signature brownies for fam-ily and friends.
She was a devoted daughter and a loyal friend, demonstrat-ing grace, faith and tenacity in the face of adversity and failing health.
She was preceded in death by her father, Waldemar Ho-bratsch in 2003.
Survivors include her mother, Alice Zschiesche Ho-bratsch; a sister, Dr. Lauren Hobratsch and brother-in-law, Dr. Charles Chang as well as numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Mr. Easterling

Charles A. Easterling, 86, died Nov. 13, 2006. Funeral services were held at the Park Place United Methodist Church in Houston and burial in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
He was born July 22, 1920 in Hamilton and moved to Houston in 1950. He was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, re-tiring as Lt. Colonel. He re-ceived his undergraduate and law degree from Baylor Uni-versity. He practiced law for almost 56 years, the last 24 years with his sons, David and Danny, in their law firm in Houston.
Mr. Easterling was a 50-year Mason. Among his many Ma-sonic achievements, he re-ceived the 33rd degree from the Scottish Rite, was elected Po-tentate of the Arabia Shrine Temple, served as chairman of the board of governors Shriners Hospitals for Children, Galves-ton, was sovereign of the Red Cross of Constantine and was a member of the Royal Order of Jesters.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Irene; their three chil-dren, David Easterling and wife Randi, Danny Easterling and wife Sissi, Jan Petty and hus-band Tim and seven grandchil-dren, Carson, Collin, Caitland, Crosby, Morgan, Heath and Spencer.
