- Mrs. Baker

Lois Baker, age 92, a life-time resident of Florence, died Aug. 20, 2006. Funeral services were set for Wednesday, Aug. 23 at 10 a.m. at Primitive Bap-tist Church in Florence with Elder Bruce Crawford officiat-ing. Interment will follow at Florence City Cemetery in Florence.
She was born on February 10, 1914 to parents Ira Shep-herd and Ola (Ratliff) Shep-herd. She worked as a teacher’s aide for the Florence I.S.D. and was a past member of Texas Farm Bureau.
Mrs. Baker was avid fisher-man, hunter, and camper. She loved to travel with her family. She was member of Primitive Baptist Church in Florence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey F. Baker; her parents; a brother, Ira Shepherd and sisters, Janie Caskey and Zekle Faith.
Survivors include her sons, Harvey Norman Baker of Flor-ence, Ronald Baker and wife Mary of Hamilton and Roger Baker of Victoria; daughter, Gayle Baker and husband Leo Sinclair of Lake Cormorant, MS; sisters, Imogene Baker of Corpus Christi and Olene Stewart of Florence; brother, Carl Shepherd of Austin; grandchildren, Teresa Baker of Miami, FL, Tara Georgeson of Houston, Franklin Baker of Belton, Marissa Baker of Dal-las, Kimberly Fain of Burnet, Diana Freeman of Hamilton, Ronda Baker of Mansfield, Roger Baker of Austin, Rex Baker of North Carolina, Robert Baker of Andice, Crys-tal Overby of Hernando, MS and Clint Whitehead of Estes Park, Co; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.

Mrs. Lopez

Parthenia Eddleman Lopez was found dead Aug. 16, 2006 at Newcastle where she lived.
She was born in Cheyenne Wells, Co. on Dec. 21, 1960.
She is preceded in death by her father, Howard Eddleman, a brother, Terry Lane Walker and her grandparents.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Frank and Florence Doolin and two sisters, Marqumia Johnson of Arlington and Gina Huser of Grayford and a brother Jessie Walker and wife Sussie of Copperas Cove.


Mrs. Locks

Maynette Savage Locks, 83, died Aug. 20 at Comanche County Medical Center in Co-manche. Funeral services were set for Wednesday, Aug. 23 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Gustine with Rev. John Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Siloam Cemetery in Co-manche County.
She was born on April 11, 1923 in Comanche County, the daughter of Herman Barnett and Velma (Collinsworth) Bar-nett. She was a homemaker and a member of the 1342 Club. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gustine.
Mrs. Locks was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during World War II.
She was married to Forrest Savage on Sept. 11, 1948 in Dallas. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1990. She was married to Robert Locks in Brownwood on May 20, 1993.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Steven Savage in Sept. 1962 and Jimmy Savage in February, 1949.
Survivors include her hus-band, Robert Locks of Coman-che; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Kala Savage of Bel-ton; granddaughter and hus-band, Kristy and Sean Burks and sister, Bobby Allen of Gus-tine.
The family requests memo-rials be made to Siloam Ceme-tery Association.

Mrs. Nettleton

Lola Mae Perry Nettleton, homemaker, loving mother and grandmother died at a Weatherford hospital on Aug. 16, 2006.
Funeral services were held Aug. 19 at Lone Camp Com-munity Center. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamil-ton.
Mrs. Nettleton was born in Nolan County on July 12, 1914, the daughter of Robert M. and Myrtle Dunn Perry. She was married to Bill Nettleton on June 14, 1934 in DeLeon.
She was a faithful and lov-ing wife and mother and a be-loved grandmother. She lived in River Oaks where she raised two children and was an active member of the community.
After moving to Lake Palo Pinto she was an active mem-ber of the Lone Camp Commu-nity Center, the Baptist church, Mineral Wells Art Association, and the Home Extension Club of Palo Pinto County.
She loved to play games and she always had time for her sisters and brothers and their families. She loved family re-unions.
She took up painting in her 70’s and was a beautiful seam-stress. She loved working in her garden and cooking for family and friends. She was a prize winning cook. Her life was one of service to her Lord, her fam-ily and her friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ray-mond and Bill Perry, and sis-ters, Lois and Jewel Spath.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Cleo Hartzo of Fort Worth; a son and daughter-in-law: Billy and Debra Nettleton of Millsap; grandson, Paul Nettle-ton and wife Laura of Spring-town and their children, Madi-son, Lauren Mae, and Hayden; granddaughters, Karon Tank of Houston and son Dwayne Hartzo of Fort Worth, Karla Pyburn of Pampa and son: Jesse Poston of Pampa; daugh-ter, Katherine Wester of Fort Worth, Lori Ann Nettleton and fiancé Joe Hurtado of Fort Worth; step grandson, Jarrod Williams of Fort Worth and his two daughters and one son, brother, Bob Perry of Lipan, sisters; Winnie Arnett of Evant, Wanda Burns of Bedford, Mary Young of Kennedale, Margene Soulard of Longview, Oleta Wallace of Bedford, and nu-merous nieces, nephews, cous-ins and beloved friends.

Mrs. Pruitt

Cheryl Louise Pruitt, 57, of Hamilton died Aug. 16, 2006 at Hamilton. Graveside funeral services were held Aug. 19 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Keith Felton officiating.
Mrs. Pruitt was born Dec. 20, 1948 at Dallas, the daughter of C.W. Shelton and Hilda Wil-liamson Pruitt.
She moved with her family to Waxahachie at young age where she attended school graduating from Waxahachie High School. In April of 1970 she was married to James Hubert Pruitt at Waxahachie and moved to Hamilton. He preceded her in death in Sep-tember of 1992.
She was a seamstress, work-ing for Patti’s of Texas and Wall’s manufacturing where she was employed for 14 years.
She loved to sew and re-ceived great joy in making things for her grandchildren that she so dearly loved. She was private person and very devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include one son, Steven Michael Pruitt, of Ham-ilton; five grandchildren; one sister, Linda Fischer of Waxa-hachie and one brother Carl Shelton of Grand Prairie.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents and one infant child, Susan Gayle Pruitt.
