Mr. Fuqua
Robert Wayne (Bob) Fuqua, 77, of Pottsville died unexpect-edly on Sept. 26 at his farm. Funeral services were held Sept. 30 at Riley Funeral Home in Hamilton with Pete Jordan officiating. Burial was at Gentry’s Mill Cemetery.
Mr. Fuqua was born Dec. 19, 1928 in Hamilton County, the son of Newman and Golda Fuqua.
He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps for more than 21 years and saw active duty in the Korean and Viet-nam Wars receiving several commendations for his service. He retired as a Warrant Officer with the Corps.
After spending eight years with General Motors in Arling-ton, he moved to his farm in Hamilton County. Mr. Fuqua loved his family, his country, playing golf, his farm life and playing cards. He was a mem-ber of the VFW and Perry Country Club. He was a Chris-tian.
Mr. Fuqua was married to Jean Claire Lee on Feb. 14, 1950. She preceded him in death as did their daughter, Linda Claire (Fuqua) Daughetee and his parents.
On April 15, 1995, he mar-ried Barbara Icenogle who also preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Terry Lynn and hus-band Tom Haefele of Argyle; Merilee Hazelett of Fredericks-burg; five grandchildren, Izaac Daughetee and wife, Danelle, Jennifer and husband, Derek Pittman, Dillon Hazelett, Cody and Lucas Haefele; four great-grandchildren, Josh, Nathan Luke and Tori Daughetee; two brothers, Gene (Soup) and wife, Sue of Hamilton and Joe and wife, Paula of Ft. Worth and many other family members and friends.
Pallbearers were his grand-children. Izaac Daughetee, Jen-nifer Pittman, Dillon Hazelett, Cody Haefele, Lucas Haefele, and Derek Pittman.

Mr. Maddox
Harry Maddox, formally of Hamilton, died of natural causes in Corona, Calif. in April 2006.
He was the son of the late Jack and Irma Maddox of Ham-ilton.
Mr. Maddox was a barber and his wife worked as a tax assessor for the city.
He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1953 and at-tended North Texas University and later joined the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by three chil-dren of Corona and a number of grandchildren.
