- Mrs. Craig

Sallie Ann Craig, 57, died at Hamilton July 20, 2006. Fu-neral services were held July 23 in Park Heights Church of Christ in Hamilton with Chris Frizzle and George Tolbert officiating. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Hamil-ton.
Mrs. Craig was born March 9, 1949 at Roswell, N.M., the daughter of R. F. and Maxine Rutherford Parkinson, while her father R. F. was serving in the Air Force. After her father was discharged they moved to Wichita Falls then to Muleshoe. In the early sixties she moved to Hamilton attending the Ham-ilton High School.
She was married to Darby Dean Craig on August 14, 1965 at Hamilton. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grand-mother and friend.
Mrs. Craig, her husband and son Seth were farmers and owners of Dean Craig & Son Small Engines business in Hamilton where she also served as business manager. She was a member of the Park Heights Church of Christ.
Survivors include her hus-band; her son, Seth Dean Craig and his wife Erin; grandson, Darby Evan Craig all of Hamil-ton; her parents, R. F. and Maxine Parkinson; grand-mother, Sallie Parkinson and a sister Marsha Gilbert all of Granbury.
Pallbearers were Jody Gil-bert, Brad Gilbert, Matt Gilbert, Michael Craig, Danny Craig and Jerry Craig.
Honorary pallbearers were Jason Craig, Jimmy Craig, Ricky Craig, Kevin Craig, Chris Craig and Donny Craig.

Mr. Meholin

Graydon Lehr (Jack) Me-holin was born on May 3, 1928 in Ennis, Texas and died July
19, 2006 in Waco. His parents were Pat Meholin and Anne Ola Thomas. His father's job as a petroleum geologist took the family to many east Texas towns with Tyler being the high school years. After attending two years at Texas A&M,
Mr. Meholin took the position as a ranch manager in Palo Pinto County. Before moving,
he was married to Donna McCarty on February 22,1948 in Marvin Methodist Church in Tyler.
Ranching had always been Mr. Meholin’s dream but after five years of drought,
he left to be a district sales manager for Purina Chows, moving his family from
Sweetwater to Waco. Later as divisional sales manager he served in Lubbock for ten years before becoming director of operations in Fort Worth. After 33 years with Purina, he
returned to his true passion of ranching, and ranched in the Lanham area for 16
years.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Donna Jean Meholin; their three daughters and hus-bands: Jan and Morgan Gum-melt, Mindy and Gene Merrell, and Jill and Dave Rogers; nine grandchildren: Steven and Amy Robbins, Grant Gummelt, Holin and Randy Barber, Greg Robbins, Blake and Lauren Gummelt, Lindsey Rogers, Molly Robbins, Shelly Rogers, and Ross Rogers; and two great-grandchildren, Holin Paige Gummelt and Alyson Jean Robbins.

Mr. Wendland

Otto Martin Wendland, 91, of Hamilton died July 20, 2006 in Hamilton. Funeral services were held July 23 in the Trinity Lutheran Church at Pottsville with burial following in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery with Pastor Peter Anderson officiat-ing.
He was born Jan. 17, 1915 in the Springdale Community of Hamilton County, the son of Otto G. Wendland and Julia Ann Albrecht Wendland.
On Nov. 19, 1936 he was married to Emma Augusta Louise Reinert in the Trinity Lutheran Church at Pottsville. She preceded him in death on July 27, 1997.
Mr. Wendland loved his children and grandchildren al-ways setting an example for them to follow. He was a farmer and carpenter. He served on the Pottsville School Board for 27 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as president for many years.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Emma Augusta Louise Wendland; an infant son, Truman Wendland; his parents; five sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include his two daughters, Ruby Nell Edmondson and Julie Ann Bynum both of Hamilton and one son Curtis Jean Wendland of Stephenville; seven grand-children; fifteen great-grandchildren and six great- great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Lindsay Lee, Ryan Lee, Josh Wuist-inger, Josh Harris, Keith Bynum and Clifford Reinert.

Mr. Sheard

Albert Edward Sheard, 87, of Hamilton died July 18, 2006 in Alvarado. Funeral services were held July 22 at Riley Fu-neral Home. Burial was in the Center Valley Cemetery.
Mr. Sheard was born April 18, 1919, in Philadelphia, Pa., the son of Albert Edward and Marie Catharine Hoyler Sheard. He was a member of the Lutheran Church and a vet-eran of World War II.
During his service, he earned the Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the European Afri-can Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one bronze star. He met his wife, Lillian Mil-dred Oustad, in London during the war, and they were married on May 25, 1946, in Philadel-phia. They owned a restaurant in Philadelphia for many years and retired to Hamilton in 1979. She preceded him in death on June 28, 2005.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Kathrine Brownsey and Edna Morozin.
Survivors include a son, Robert Martin Sheard and wife Emma of Alvarado; a daughter, Catherine Inga Sheard Musolf of Bayville, N.J.; two grand-daughters, Jeanine Musolf Bates and husband Brian of Glenside, Pa., and Kayse Leann Sheard Myers and husband Andy of Teague; and a great-grandson, Cale Myers of Teague.
Pallbearers were George Oustad, Zel Rice, D.D. Oustad, Martin Edward Oustad, Jason Rice, Josh Fitzwater, Kenneth Miller, Jamie Weaver and Charlie Cox.

Mr. Jones

Randal Lee Jones, 57, of Temple and formerly of Hamil-ton, died July 14, 2006 in Tem-ple. Funeral Services were held July 18, in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Felton Officiating. Burial Followed in the Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Hamilton.
Mr. Jones was born Febru-ary 20, 1949 in Hico, the son of Alga Lee Jones and Velma Faye Harlien Jones Lane. He was a longtime resident of Hamilton with deep family roots.
He was married to Rose Anne Calder in Dallas, Tx on Dec. 30 , 1970. He worked as a manager in the tire business for nearly 30 years in Houston be-fore retiring in 1999. He was very proud of his past with the Hamilton Bulldog football team. He was a member of the Springtown Baptist Church in Springtown.
Survivors include three sons, Brian Lee Jones and wife Kim-berly of League City, Bradley Wade Jones of Conroe and Brandon Ray Jones and wife Tiffany of Conroe; a sister, Sandra Culbertson and her hus-band David of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Bailey, Brandi Rose, Bronson and Brayden; an uncle, John Tom Jones of Hamilton; a cousin, Iris Faye Morgan of Hamilton and numerous cousins.
