- Mrs. Tate

Frances Tate, age 81, of Olney, died Aug. 31, 2006, in Olney. Funeral services were held Sept. 2, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home, with Homer Youngblood, of Millsap and Scotte Clark of Olney, officiating. Burial followed in the Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tate was born December 7, 1924 in Young County, the daughter of Gilbert Ray and Flora Lee (Morgan) Bishop. She was married to W. B. “Dub” Tate on Nov. 25, 1944 in Young County. He preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1977. She was married to Ed Tate were married on April 2, 1982 in Hamilton.
She was very active in the Olney Senior Cub Center and a member of the Newcastle Church of Christ. She moved to Olney from Hamilton in 1982.
Mrs. Tate was preceded in death by a daughter, Raynell Mitchell on Aug. 15, 2001; a grandson, Larry Fikes on Nov. 3, 1995; a brother, Harvey Bishop; and two sisters, Faye Wages and Jane Tate.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Tate of Olney; a son, Lonnie Tate and wife Phyllis of Huckaby; two daughters, Joy Gromatzky of Hamilton, and Edwana Fikes and husband Wade of Olney; two brothers, Jack Bishop and Kenneth Bishop both of Olney; two sisters, Dorothy Short of Azle, Texas and Jean Parker of Graham; ten grandchildren, Steve Fikes, Sherry Altmiller, Judy McKamie, Chuck Mitchell, Jeff Mitchell, Mica Crownover, Misti Polster, Barry Tate, Matt Tate, and Wendy Terry; eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Mr. Lee

Castil Lewors Lee, 87, died at Hamilton on Aug. 29, 2006. Funeral services were held Sept. 1 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Aleman with Pastor Donald Olson officiating. Burial followed in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery.
Mr. Lee was born June 6, 1919 at Simsboro, La., the son of John E. Lee and Nancy Miles Lee.
On Feb. 11, 1942 at Beauregard, La., he was inducted into the Army. He arrived in Auckland, New Zealand on Oct. 10, 1942. He went on to serve in Auckland and New Caledonia until May of 1943 when he was shipped back to the states arriving at Letterman Hospital in San Francisco on May 26, 1943.
Mr. Lee was discharge from the Army on Nov. 19, 1943 at Camp Chaffee, Ark. He was an accountant working for United Gas and retiring from Pennzoil.
He was married to Myrtle Lenora Hayes and one child was born to this union.
On April 16, 1958 he was married to Meta Louise Augusta Wenzel in the Grace Lutheran Church at Dallas. She preceded him in death on Oct. 14, 2002.
Mr. Lee was a member of the D.A.V., the American Legion, St. Paul’s Men Club and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathryn Faulkner of Bryan; two granddaughters, Pamela Masters of Bryan and Paula Lehman of Iola; four great-grandchildren; Dalton and Aaron Masters and Thomas and Christi Lehman and three brothers Prentise, Revis and Gasper Lee all of Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Wanzie and five brothers, Erdice, Carl, Narvis, Leonard and Harvey.
Pallbearers were Thomas Lehman, David Lehman, Martin Wenzel, Jerry Smith, Thomas Murphy and Matthew Murphy.
