Mr. Thompson
Willeford “Tex” Thompson died at his home June 20, 2006, surrounded by his family. In accordance with his wishes, there were no funeral services.
He was born in Hamilton on June 19, 1921, the son of Thomas David (Sam) and Ma-nie (Willeford) Thompson.
He worked on farms, broke horses and rode in local rodeos. He joined the US Marine Corps in 1941, serving in the South Pacific during WW II and was discharged April 1947. He mar-ried Margaret (Peggy) Bisbee on October 5, 1945 in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
He was a member of the Valley Lodge No. 16 IOOF, the Mad River Valley American Legion Post 75 and the Waits-field Couples Club. The Cou-ples Club barbeque pit was dedicated to him in 2000 in recognition of his famous chicken barbeques and his many years of service mowing the fields. He was a long time umpire for Little League and Babe Ruth and a coach and supporter of women's softball in the Mad River Valley. He was also known for catering many Mad River Valley events.
He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy and his son Peter who both died in 2001; two brothers Norman and Jack, and three sisters Gladys, Bethel and Jo-Ann.
Survivors include his brother Dean Thompson of Haysville, Kansas, and his sis-ter Frances Raibourn of Hamil-ton; his children, Robert Philip Thompson and his wife Peggy (Foster) of Austin; John Thompson and his wife Diane Thompson of Warren; Jo-Ann Wilson and her husband Adrian Wilson; Patrick Lee Thompson and his wife Pam Barnard; Susan Thompson; all of Waits-field, and former daughter-in-law Carol Thompson, of War-ren; eight grandchildren, Mar-garet and Adrienne Wilson, Emily and Sally Thompson, Ryan and Eric Badger, Char-lotte and Rebecca Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice, 600 Granger Road, Barre, VT 05641.
Mr. Williams
Charley Troy Williams, 83, of Ireland, died July 13 at his residence. Graveside services were held July 15 at Ireland Cemetery.
Mr. Williams was born Nov. 16, 1922 in Ireland, the son of Charley Williams and Zola McCorkle Williams. He was raised and attended school in Ireland.
He was a farmer and a rancher in the Ireland commu-nity.
He was a member of Ireland Methodist Church until it closed and he became a mem-ber of Purmela Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and a brother.
Survivors include sisters, Jessie Williams Christian of Hamialton and Rosa Belle Miller of Gatesville; numerous nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Purmela Methodist Church.

Mr. Rudolph
John Gustav Rudolph died July 12, 2006. Funeral services were held July 7 with Pastor Russell Nebhut and Vicar Jim Roemke officiating.
He was born on December 15, 1916, the son of Henry and Helen (Zeiss) Rudolph of Ham-ilton County. He was baptized into Christ at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville on April 8, 1927, by Rev. H. C. Weh-meyer. He made his bold con-fession of faith and was con-firmed on Dec. 19, 1937, by Pastor G. C. Senff.
Mr. Rudolph grew up on the family farm. He was 25 years old when World War II began and he entered the United States Army at Ft. Wolters in Mineral Wells on Dec. 4, 1942. He served through the entire war, entering Europe on the beaches of Normandy with the opening of the campaign and serving in Northern France, the
Ardennes, onto Rhineland, and through Central Europe.
During his years in the Army, John received five bronze stars and the good con-duct medal. When the war was concluded, he received his hon-orable discharge and returned to civilian life.
Mr. Rudolph was married to Norma Faye McNew on June 3, 1962.
He worked as a cotton gin-ner for years, traveling with the cotton harvest all over west Texas.
The couple settled down on a farm in 1978 and made their new church home at St. John Lutheran in Hamilton.
Mr. Rudolph was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Henry and Rubert; four sisters, Ruby, Lillie, Ire-ane, and Meatha.
Survivors include his wife of Hamilton; sisters, Nora Tipton of Plainview and Velma Ford of Evant; and numerous neph-ews and nieces.
Pallbearers were Dwight Bullington, Kenneth McNew, William McNew, Don Ru-dolph, Larry Max Rudolph, James Sohm, Joe Tipton and John Tipton.

Mr. Sheard
Albert Sheard, former Ham-ilton resident, died early Tues-day afternoon after a long ill-ness. Funeral arrangements were still pending at press time.
Mr. Jones
Randal Lee Jones, 57, of Temple and formerly of Hamil-ton, died July 14, 2006 in Tem-ple. Funeral Services were held July 18, in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Felton Officiating. Burial Followed in the Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Hamilton.
Mr. Jones was born Febru-ary 20, 1949 in Hico, the son of Alga Lee Jones and Velma Faye Harlin Jones Lane. He was a longtime resident of Hamilton with deep family roots.
He was married to Rose Anne Calder in Dallas, Tx on Dec. 30 , 1970. He worked as a manager in the tire business for nearly 30 years in Houston be-fore retiring in 1999. He was very proud of his past with the Hamilton Bulldog football team. He was a member of the Springtown Baptist Church in Springtown.
Survivors include three sons, Brian Lee Jones and wife Kim-berly of League City, Bradley Wade Jones of Conroe and Brandon Ray Jones and wife Tiffany of Conroe; a sister, Sandra Culbertson and her hus-band David of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Bailey, Brandi Rose, Bronson and Brayden; an uncle, John Tom Jones of Hamilton; a cousin, Iris Faye Morgan of Hamilton and numerous cousins.

Mrs. Schneider
Marjorie Helen Schneider, 82, of Hamilton, died July 14, at Hamilton General Hospital. Funeral services were held Sun-day July 16, at Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Sullin-ger, Pete Jordan, and Pastor Keith Felton officiating. Burial followed in the Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Schneider was born Nov. 10, 1923 in Hamilton, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Sylvester Moore. She was married to Clarence V. Schneider on Sept. 19, 1942 in Hamilton. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Mrs. Schneider was a mem-ber of the Park Heights Church of Christ and was a home-maker. She started her career as a telephone operator at Gulf States Telephone Company and ended her career as the business office supervisor.
Survivors Include a daugh-ter, Barbara Johnson and hus-band Danny of Hamilton; two grandchildren: Koeby Johnson and wife Kelli of Azle and Keelan Johnson and wife Lori of Brady; four great-grandchildren, Kolten Daniel Johnson, Kaitlin Lane Johnson, Rece Kinley Johnson, Boston Lane Johnson; a sister, Maudine Tubbs of Hamilton; two nephews, Jim Pruitt of Austin and Tom Pruitt and his wife Karen of Las Cruces, NM.
