- Mr. Perry

Billy T. Perry, 72, of Woodway, died Aug. 17, 2006, at St. Catherine's. Funeral ser-vices were held Aug. 19 at OakCrest Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Mercer officiat-ing. Burial followed in Faulkenberry Cemetery near Groesbeck.
Mr. Perry was born Dec. 19, 1933, in Groesbeck to Tilton and Loretta (Reynolds) Perry. After graduating from Texas A&M University in 1959 as a civil engineer, he began a 34 year career with the Texas Highway Department. He worked first in Groesbeck and Hamilton before coming to Waco in 1968, where he served in various administrative ca-pacities for District 9 before retiring in 1993.
He was married to Nan Sills on Sept. 11, 1957. He loved his family and especially enjoyed celebrating birthdays. His kids and grandkids were his pride and joy. He liked to work with kids and sports and was influ-ential in the development of the Woodway Little League pro-gram, coaching and serving as president of the Little League Board of Directors and volun-teering for many years at the State Little League complex in Waco. He also was an avid camper and fisherman and greatly enjoyed cooking out.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Carl Joe Perry, in 1998. He is sur-vived by his wife of 49 years, Nan, of Woodway; son, Scott Perry of Destin, Fla.; daughter, Valerie Mercer and husband, Bruce of Belton; grandchildren, Danielle Farnham and husband, Jacob, Erika Mercer, Andrea Mercer, and Kristin Mercer, all of Belton, and Connor Perry and Nicole Perry, both of Des-tin, Fla.; brother, Jerry Don Perry and wife, Delores of Aus-tin; and sister-in-law, Linda Naff and husband, Frank of Lukfin.
Pallbearers were Glen (Nub-bin) Beckner, Bob Burns, James Doughtery, Jr., Rod Martin, Frank Naff, Jerry Perry, Lane Perry and Mike Perry.

Mrs. Schuman

Alice Martha Schuman, 80, of Covington died Aug. 25, 2006 in Fort Worth. Funeral services were conducted at Aug. 28, 2006 at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Phillips officiating. Burial was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Pottsville.
She was born March 31, 1926 in Hamilton County, the daughter of Adolph G. and Hilda Stegemoller Reinert. She was married to Paul F. Schu-man in 1944 in Mills County, TX.
She was a retired custodian for the Joshua ISD and a mem-ber of First United Methodist Church of Covington.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alice Faye Stewart in 1991; one brother, Norman Reinert; and two sis-ters, Estha Lund and Nora Wendland.
Survivors include her three sons, Paul Ray Schuman and wife Nancy of Covington, Ronald Wayne Schuman and wife Jerie of Joshua and Brian Allan Schuman and wife Bar-bara of Joshua; two daughters, Lana Kay Chandler and hus-band Jerry of Afton, Oklahoma and Paula Gayle English and husband Mike of Burleson; fifteen grandchildren and eight-een great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Kevin Schuman, Kerry Schuman, Terry Schuman, Jerry Wayne Chandler, Kyle Hoffman, Jack-son Paul Schuman and Chris Schuman.

Parthenia Lopez

Parthenia Eddleman Lopez was found dead Aug. 16, 2006 at Newcastle where she lived.
She was born in Cheyenne Wells, Co. on Dec. 21, 1960.
She is preceded in death by her father, Howard Eddleman, a brother, Terry Lane Walker and her grandparents.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Frank and Florence Doolin and two sisters, Marqumia Johnson of Arlington and Gina Huser of Grayford and a brother Jessie Walker and wife Sussie of Copperas Cove.
