Basketball camp starts Monday

TITANIC WITH A HAPPY ENDING- Barbara Johnson’s fifth grade students at Ann Whitney Elementary School recently studied the Titanic, including a close look at the class separation of those on board the historic, tragedy bound passenger liner – First Class, Second Class, and Third Class. Fortunately, the students’ study had a much happier conclusion that did the ship. On Tuesday, May 20 the students were treated to a first-class, five-course dinner at the First United Methodist Church by their parents. The formal dinner was strictly black tie and coats for the boys, while the girls were also dressed to the T. A five-string orchestra played while the students were served. This is the second year for the fifth grade to enjoy a “Titanic” dinner at the conclusion of the school year. Staff Photos
