The black team lost to Whitney on Thursday, 29-41, and to McGregor on Friday, 26-46. The red team fell to Copperas Cove on Thursday, 5-46, and to Burnet on Friday, 9-47.
In the black teams loss to Whitney, the Hamilton boys fell behind early, but came back with a great fourth quarter effort. Hamilton was out scored 12-4, 11-4 and 13-9 in the first three quarters, but had a 12-5 advantage in the final period.
Nathan Shaffer led the Dogs with nine points, Keaton Muxworthy had seven, Jared Massingill four, Nic Bottlinger, Ethan Cathey and Justin Montgomery two and Leo Banda one.
The loss to McGregor had a similar pattern, with Hamilton being outscored in each of the first three quarters, but then having a 12-8 advantage in the fourth.
Hamilton played with only six players in this game. Will Baird led Hamilton with 12 points and also did a good job under the boards rebounding. Banda had four points and Shaffer, Bottlinger and Cathey two.
The Hamilton red team never got untracked against Copperas Cove. Clark Denmon and Ben Weems scored two points each for Hamilton and Abby Lozano added one.
The red Dogs also struggled against Burnet, but Lozano did sink eight points and Ronak Patel added one.
