- The Bulldog seventh graders claimed a 6-0 victory over the Tigers in Hico last Tuesday.
Bulldog coach, Howard Cox, said, “We played great on defense. I was extremely pleased with the shut out.”
Leading the Bulldog defense in the shut out were linebackers Michael Roberts, Andrew Chroenziak and Trenton Wallis. Coach Nolan Vosburg said that the defense made several key stops holding the Tigers’ offense and made an impressive last stand to hold the Tigers out of the end zone as the clock wound down to preserve the win.
The only scoring of the night came on a 35-yard touchdown run by Roberts. The two-point conversion was no good.
The Bulldog seventh grade is now 2-1 on the year and will start district play at Bruceveille-Eddy this Thursday at 5 p.m.
