- A bereaved local family recently suffered the additional sorrow of watching as disrespectful persons stole flowers from the grave of their recently deceased loved one.
A member of this family told The Herald-News about this incident last Friday.
She said, “I cannot believe that this happened in Hamilton. But if this happened to us, I am sure it is happening to other families at their loved ones’ graves.”
She pled for those taking the fresh and artificial flowers to have some consideration for those who have died and for their families.
“Respect the time that these families need to mourn their family members. Please give your respect to others in our community and consider the feelings of others. We are a respectful, considerate community. Please encourage each other to continue to care about our living and our dead,” she concluded.
