The blind is located east of Pecan Creek in a secluded area of the park where deer, turkey, a wide variety of birds and other native animals are commonly seen. Members of the class are Beau Ballard, Jackson Beshears, Dalton DeLeon, Ashton Granado, Lindsey Henderson, Katie McKenzie, Keaton Muxworthy, Clay Paschal, Whitley Quigg, Clayton Tyson, Doxie Thompson, Jon Salley, Maycon Stork and Zack Wells. Ag instructor Terry Baize said, “Our class built this so the people of Hamilton have a place to go and watch and enjoy wildlife.”

- Hamilton County Commis-sioners took care of business on a short agenda with a quick meeting Tuesday morning.
Commissioners Jim Boat-wright, Mike Lewis, Jon Bon-ner and Dickie Clary were present for the meeting pre-sided over by Hamilton County Judge Randy Mills.
They approved bills in the amount of $114,993.83 along with minutes of the previous meeting, departmental reports and budget amendments.
Mills reported that the county is three weeks to a month ahead on renovation plans. He told the court that the Texas Historical Commission is working with the county’s architects at this time on scope of work and documents neces-sary for the project.
He said that parking con-cerns will be addressed at a preconstruction conference. Mills also said that construc-tion is scheduled to begin on Sept. 15 and plans for the Dove Festival should not be affected.
