Early voting underway
in school and city races

GRAND OPENING- The Inn at Circle T held its official grand opening celebration last Friday night. The 57-room resort-style hotel is located west of Hamilton on Highway 36, adjacent to the Circle T Ranch Arena. Above, members of the Beshears family, owners of the inn, are shown in the center of this Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony. Holding the ceremonial scissors is Hamilton County Judge Randy Mills. Holding the ribbon are chamber members Beverly Rohde and Carla Wooley. Early voting in school and city elections began Monday and will continue through May 6. Election Day is Saturday, May 10.
The only contested race for the City of Hamilton is for mayor. Incumbent Mayor Roy Rumsey is being challenged by Stanley Morgan. Early voting is at City Hall during regular business hours. On Election Day, ballots will be cast in the Hamilton County Courthouse from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Four persons are seeking three seats on the Hamilton Independent School Board. Incumbents Herman Lanmon Jr. and Jon Mark Jester are joined by Alan Watson and Kasey Kunkel on the school ballot. Early voting during regular business hours is being conducted in the main office at school and on Election Day will be in the Hamilton County Courthouse.
