Voting starts Monday
for school and city races

Trustee candidates Jon Mark Jester, Kasey Kunkel and Herman Lanmon Jr.
- Early voting in school and city elections will begin next Monday and continue through May 6. Election Day is Saturday, May 10.
Four individuals are running for three positions on the Hamilton Independent School Board. Seeking seats on the board are incumbents Jon Mark Jester and Herman Lanmon, Jr. and seeking their first terms are Kasey Kunkel and Alan Watson.
Early voting in the school elections will be conducted in the main school office. On Election Day, ballots will be cast in the courthouse.
The only contested race in the City of Hamilton election is for mayor. Stanley Morgan is challenging incumbent Roy Rumsey. Early voting is at City Hall and voting on Election Day will be at the courthouse.
Kunkel, Jester and Lanmon issued their announcement statements to The Herald-News this week.
