Thursday's Internet Edition, March 11, 2010. Watson announces candidacy Local elections May 10 Alan Watson - Local school board and city council races will be held May 10. Early voting in both elections will begin on April 28 and continue through May 6. In the race for the Hamilton Independent School Board are incumbents Jon Mark Jester and Herman Lanmon, Jr. and Alan Watson and Kasey Kunkel. Three positions will be filled. The only city race on the ballot will be that for mayor. Mayor Roy Rumsey is being challenged by Stanley Morgan. The Herald-News allows each candidate to make an announcement statement.
