The Herald-News Internet service went down shortly after 4 a.m. Tuesday and remained down through the day.
HHN Editor Kenneth Miller said, “We apologize to every-one who sent us e-mails Tuesday morning hoping to have information or ads in this week’s newspaper. We know each Tuesday morning many people rely on the e-mail to get their information to the newspaper. Unfortunately, we did not have any way of knowing who may have been trying to contact us. This has certainly been a lesson to us on just how dependent we have become on this electronic service.”
