There will be school and city elections on Saturday, May 10.
Four candidates are running for three positions on the Hamilton Independent School Board. Incumbents Jon Mark Jester and Herman Lanmon, Jr., are joined in the race by Casey Kunkel and Alan Watson. Incumbent Ken Shaffer is not seeking another term.
In the City of Hamilton elections, incumbents Betty Jenkins and Grant Lengefeld are unopposed for their council seats; however, Mayor Roy Rumsey will face Stanley Morgan for his position.
Early voting in both school and city elections will begin April 28 and end May 6. Early voting in the school election will be in the main school office and for the city at City Hall. Voting on election day will be in the Courthouse.
