ORIGINAL COURTHOUSE- This is a faded picture of the courthouse as it appeared in 1934 with the cupola still on top. The Texas Historical Commission is providing a grant for renovation of the courthouse, but as part of the grant requirement, the cupola must be replaced. The cupola was only in place for a short period of time and few residents have any memory of it. The first phase of the courthouse renovation is expected to start this summer, which will include the cupola.
