Appointments are now being scheduled at the Family Prac-tice Rural Health Clinic for Hamilton’s two newest physi-cians, Dr. Shalor Craig and Dr. Tim Rudolph. The doctors will begin their practices on Aug. 1.
“Tim’s and Shalor’s com-bined talents will add a new dimension to services available in Hamilton, and we are very excited about their decision to return home to establish their practices,” said Dr. Randy Lee, Chief of Staff.
Dr. Craig and Dr. Rudolph have been friends since kinder-garten, graduating from Hamil-ton High School in 1996, and both say they are happy to be returning to Hamilton at the same time to begin their medi-cal careers in a practice that also includes HHS alumni Dr. Lee and Dr. Robbye Gardner Lengefeld, as well as Dr. Monte Horne and Dr. Luke Killian.
“We have a unique situation here in Hamilton,” said Hamil-ton Healthcare System Admin-istrator Jim Shafer. “We have these fine young doctors, who could practice anywhere, yet they chose Hamilton to practice medicine. We are indeed fortu-nate to have such a highly skilled and trained medical staff.”
“Shalor and I are excited about being in Hamilton,” said Dr. Rudolph. “It is awesome to be back in my hometown to practice medicine with my best friend. I look forward to work-ing with and for the people of Hamilton County.”
“We feel lucky to be joining such a great group of physi-cians,” agreed Dr. Craig. “Hav-ing spent time working at HGH in the past, I have enjoyed working with the people of Hamilton and look forward to continuing that.”
Dr. Rudolph received a Bachelor of Science degree in agronomy from Texas A&M University in 2000, and Dr. Craig received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University. Both received their Doctor of Medicine de-grees from University of Texas Health Science Center Houston – Medical School in 2005 and completed internships and resi-dencies at John Peter Smith Family Medicine Residency Program in 2005-06 and 2006-08, respectively.
Dr. Rudolph was Chief Resident in Family Medicine 2007-08 and House Staff Vice President 2006-07. He received the JPS Resident Teaching Award 2006-07, as well as Out-standing Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Out-standing Resident in Emer-gency Medicine honors, both in 2007-08.
Dr. Rudolph and wife Chris-tina and Dr. Craig and wife Melissa have recently moved to Hamilton. Dr. Craig is the son of Bill and Karen Craig, and Dr. Rudolph is the son of Don and Debbie Rudolph, all of Hamilton.
