Old Settlers’ Reunion
only three weeks away

TRACK DEMOLITION - Portions of the track at Kooken Field were being torn out this week in preparation for repairs and resurfacing.
- The Hico Old Settlers’ Reunion is only three weeks away. Started in 1882, the reunion is the oldest event of its kind in Texas. This year’s reunion will run from July 22 to July 26 and is sponsored by the Hico Civic Club.
With the exception of four years during World War II, the reunion has been held each year since its conception, making this the 122nd year.
Most events are held in the Hico City Park. There is a $1 admission fee for events at the park. Once inside the park, all events at the pavilion, including dances, are free. There is a $2 parking fee at the park. All events downtown are free.
E and B Fun Time Carnival will be at the park and include rides, booths and food vendors.
