Wednesday's Internet Edition, August 27, 2008. hosts open house
Athletes, parents and com-munity members are invited to tour the new Hamilton ISD Field House, which includes girls’ and boys’ dressing and shower facilities, a film room, a training room, storage and laundry facilities and coaches’ offices. Re-surfacing of the track should also be complete by the end of this week as well. The open house will serve as the annual membership drive for the Athletic Booster Club, which ordinarily would happen at the first home scrimmage of the season. The Bulldogs were unable to host a home scrim-mage this year due to the work being done on the facilities. Bulldog t-shirts, caps and other team spirit memorabilia will also be on sale. All supporters of Hamilton’s athletic teams are encouraged to become Booster Club mem-bers. A family membership can be purchased for $25 and will include two meal tickets as well as entry into the half-time drawings held at home games for prizes donated by local merchants. Gold, Silver and Bronze Booster Club member-ships can also be purchased for $300, $200 and $100 respec-tively and will include Bulldog memorabilia in addition to en-try into the half-time drawings and two meal tickets. High school athletes will re-ceive one free meal ticket to include a hamburger, chips and drink. Additional meal tickets will be on sale for $5 each and everyone in the community is encouraged to attend. Booster Club President Bill Barrett invites everyone to, “Come on out Friday evening to tour the facility, enjoy a hamburger supper, meet the Bulldogs and join the Bulldog Athletic Booster Club as the tradition continues.” |
